Today we finally got all the rest of the dirt in the box, and I set up the irrigation and added it to the timer.
The first plants to go in were transplants of cabbage, romanesco and broccoli that 2 had sprouted in a location, and I took the weakest one and transplanted. Every time they say, “plant 3 seeds” 2 sprout. Hopefully, the transplants will live.

I got these nifty clips at Amazon thatI used to get a tomato vine up off the ground and trellis it onto stakes. They worked really well, it was the first time I had used them. I recommed them, much easier than the stretch tape I have been using, and I can re-use them. Here is a screencap of the item. I have zero affiliate links on this site, and plan to keep it that way.

I then covered up this row, which has the large cherry tomatoes, kohlrabi, salad turnips and beets. I hope the tomatoes survive, because I have no way to get the cloth behind them, only in front. So far, the weather report has changed and they are not calling for freeze like they were earlier this week, but I am trying to get everything covered up.

It amazes me that picture is as bright as it is, as it was almost full dark by the time I got done but they are tucked into their warm and snuggly row covers.
