Weather has been threating frost at the end of this week, so I’m getting the garden beds covered with floating row covers. So far, I’ve gotten the lettuce, kale, peppers, and tomatoes covered up. The peas stand alone uncovered in the main garden bed.

I bought these row covers at Amazon. They are a bit thin, but when I was going up and under them for the tomatoes, it was suprisingly warm under them, they are really good at heating up the temps around the plants. I’m hoping to extend my growing season significantly. Although I’ll be picking and selling most of the hot peppers this weekend at the farmer’s market so they don’t get frost damaged. I have so many roma tomato plants not ripe though, I’m trying to keep them going until they ripen. Fingers crossed!
